Clifford Mosby was born on September 15, 1927 in Fluvanna County, VA. He was the only child of Helen Lee Mosby. Clifford and his mother moved to Washington, D.C. when he was a child. He was educated in the Washington, D.C. school system.

Clifford married Mary Arlene Barron (who preceded him in death) in 1947. From that union, they had a son, Clifford Lee Mosby.

During his career, Clifford worked in a number of professions. Early in life he worked as a barber, then with the Peoples Involvement Cooperation, and finally as a counselor with the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services in the Shaw Halfway houses in Washington, D.C.. He retired after 30 years of service.

Clifford enjoyed watching sports events, shooting pool, spending time with his son, socializing with family and friends, and in his later years, going for long rides and to the market with his uncle Bill.

Clifford leaves to mourn, his loving son Clifford Lee Mosby, his step children, Gregory A. Chicquelo, and Janita M. Chicquelo-Coen, and a host of other family and friends.
